Unfortunately, this wonderful workshop is canceled due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene. Our instructor, Anne, lives in Asheville, and although she is safe and well, she is focusing on recovery efforts. We plan to reschedule early next year.

Explore the time-honored tradition of basket weaving as you create your very own heart basket! Master basket weaver, Anne Allison, will share her passion for the craft, its history, and its special connection to the Appalachian Mountain region. Anne leads these workshops at the Biltmore, so we are very lucky to have her with us. After learning about different types of baskets and their uses, as well as the tools, techniques, and materials associated with basket weaving, you will apply your new-found skills to complete your own 6-inch heart basket. These are a-DOR-able!! What an amazing gift, keepsake, and heirloom.

This class is appropriate for beginners, but all levels are welcome. Due to the hands-on nature of instruction, seating is extremely limited (which is the reason for two sessions).

All tools and crafting supplies provided.

As always, the bar will be open for beer and wine on tap, and the cheese shop will be stocked for snacks.
