VWT: Exploring Vinum

We will be joined by Richard Bruno, Vinum Cellars winemaker, for this tasting!

Vinum Pinot Noir 2017 — It’s not easy finding a good Pinot Noir for a weeknight under $20, so this is a nice go-to. It’s juicy and grippy and smells like cherries and cinnamon along with the fresh soil from your garden. It’s buoyant on the palate with a tart fruit core. Winebow’s (our distributor) best-selling Vinum wine. $16.99

Vinum Red Dirt Red Blend 2016 — A fun rhone-style GSM (grenache-syrah-mourvedre) blend. Strong smoky aromas of hickory and pepper spice give a savory compliment to the backdrop of blackberry fruit on the nose of this bottling. That smoke carries into the palate, where roasted wood, campfire and bacon flavors meet with black currant and caramel. This is the most concentrated vintage of Red Dirt Red Vinum has ever made. It expresses a dark plum, cranberry staining color which comes from low-yielding, concentrated grapes. $19.99
