“Battle of the Bees” Complimentary Tableside Wine Tasting

  • Craft'd 108 West Union Street Morganton, NC, 28655 United States (map)

We’re sampling a very diverse selection this week:

Bico de Ran Albariῆo 2019
Albariño is synonymous with Rias Baixas, in the cold green province of Galicia, Spain, just above Portugal. It is a wine defined by the Atlantic. The vineyards are shaped by cooling sea breezes, with enough sun to get the berries perfectly ripe. The flavor speaks of the sea: this wine is slatey and creamy, like succulent shellfish, with a delightful salinity. A squeeze of citrus keeps everything fresh and lively, while sunny peachy flavors flesh out the palate for a smooth, round finish.

Bread & Butter Chardonnay 2018
This Chardonnay opens delicately with rich notes of vanilla bean and almond husk, which is reminiscent of a decadent crème brûlée. The creamy notes are balanced by a soft minerality and a hint of tropical fruit and continue to your palate where they are joined with bright acidity and well-integrated oak that leads into a long finish.

Bogle Phantom Red Blend 2017
Intriguing, beguiling . . . this mysterious apparition has ripe berry and relentless spice. Full-bodied and jammy, with spicy pepper and juniper; black plums and blueberries emerge on the palate. Notes of pipe tobacco and clove settle around the finish, long and lingering.
Blend: 51.5% Petite Sirah, 48.5% Zinfandel
