We’ve got an excellent, well-rounded selection of reds lined up:
2018 Juggernaut Russian River Pinot Noir – $23.99
This is the girls’ favorite PN.
This Pinot Noir shows that patience and experience matter. Aging this wine for an average of 12 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels imparts hints of vanilla, waffle cone and toasty oak. Persistent flavors of red cherries, berries, and spicy, floral notes. A moderate grip of acidity and low tannins allow this expressive wine to complement a wide range of foods. The proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the balancing influences of sun and fog and soil composition ideally matched to cool climate grapes make the Russian River Valley an ideal sanctuary for Pinot Noir.
2017 Frank Family Zinfandel – $43.99
Selected by Kris. This might be her all-time favorite red.
This wine is made from both estate and purchased grapes, including older plantings in the (Napa) valley. This rich, black-fruit-driven wine presents integrated ripeness, texture and complexity. Brambly blackberry and black cherry are accentuated by smatterings of crushed pepper and cinnamon on the full-bodied palate. Viscous and jammy with peppery, herbal components, it offers firm structure and bold ripeness. The oak is toasted and well-integrated. The perfect amount of acid and tannin balance out the concentrated palate, leading to an expansive finish.

2018 Emmolo Napa Valley Merlot – Regularly $58.00, Now $48.00
Selected by Maryann, who is trying to bring Merlot BACK!
Grapes for this wine were sourced from Napa Valley’s Oak Knoll district, which includes two family vineyards. The area’s cooler weather, along with crop thinning and gravelly light soil, creates ideal conditions for producing a rich, distinctive Merlot. This wine is lush and supple on the palate; generous, soft, and rounded with expansive dark berry flavors, a fresh earthiness, and smooth, leathery tannins. Aromas and flavors of ripe berries and candied fruit with wild game birds.
