Domaine Louis Moreau Petit Chablis (Burgundy) 2021 — Domaine Louis Moreau is a 50-hectare estate based in the heart of the Chablis appellation. Louis and his wife, Anne, founded the domain in 1994 and own parcels in four of Chablis’ seven grand cru climats. Aged four months in stainless steel tanks, this 100% Chardonnay achieves its highly distinctive mineral character due to its cool northerly climate and its highly calcareous soil. Fresh and aromatic, with notes of apple and citrus on the nose. Bright acidity and a roundness on the palate. 12.5% ABV. $31.50/$10.50
Chateau de Cranne Bordeaux Rouge 2019 — Vincent Lacoste took over the winery in 2008 and converted it to all organic in 2010. This Right Bank (i.e., Merlot heavy) Rouge is a blend of 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Still young, this Bordeaux is smooth and well-balanced with notes of black fruit , including black cherry. Big tannins, low acidity. 13% ABV. $17.99/$6
Chateau Monteil D'Arsac Haut-Medoc Bordeaux 2015 — Philippe Raoux acquired the Arsac property in Margaux in 1986 and immediately began reconstructing the 112 hectares of vineyard to revive the quality of the wine. Silky, seductive and polished are the words that characterize the best wines from Margaux, the most inland appellation of the Médoc on the Left Bank of Bordeaux. This Bordeaux is made with rich character and intense fruit and structure. Garnet red color. Aromas are subtle, combining red fruit scents and toasty, smoky overtones. On the palate, it starts out smooth and generous. Well-focused with fine structure and balance, showing elegant tannin and a brilliant finish. It is a dense, and full of fruit with a solid background of tannins. It will age nicely — drink from 2025. 13.5% ABV. Regularly $40, Now $30/$10
