Guy Fieri, chef, restaurateur, TV star and Northern California native, has made Sonoma County home for more than 20 years. It’s also where he found a vineyard in the Russian River Valley. His release of Hunt & Ryde wines, made in cooperation with Davis Family Vineyards, represents a small-production, organically farmed operation. The winnes and winery are named for his sones, Hunter and Ryder. With a winemaking history dating back to 1820, the famed Sonoma County is a fundamental wine region. We will sample:
Chardonnay 2020 — Fremented in oak and stainless steel, crisp, rich and balanced.
Trophy Red Blend 2020 — A California Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and old-vine Zinfandel. Fruit is sourced from the Rockpile, a viticultural area that isn't about tourism—it's too remote and there aren't any wineries. Located west of Lake Sonoma in the northernmost part of Sonoma County, it's a serious winegrowing area for intense red varieties.
See you Friday!!
