Throughout history, wine has been regarded as a celebratory drink. Even today, it plays a significant role in gatherings, from royal feasts to religious ceremonies, just as it did in ancient times. There are so many countires and countless regions that produce wine, and, as a result, so many varietals! Last time, we tasted the Noble Grapes. This time, we pay homage to some other notable varietals that produce delicious and memorable wines!

For the first time ever, we will taste NINE different wines. They will come from NINE different regions (EIGHT different countries), so this is truly a look into the world of wine.

AND, these wines have been specifically selected in the hope that they will find a place on your holiday table — all are excellent choices for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, and New Years.

This event is a Wine and Cheese Pairing. South Slope Cheese Shop (Asheville) will pair a delicious cheese/meat with most wines. Everyone will have their own plate with accoutrements.
